Once the school receives the Application Form and Student Profile the International Dean and Bursar can start documentation process.

The following documents are sent via email and hard copy to the prospective student's family or agent.

• Provisional Offer of Place.
• Tuition Agreement
• Invoice

On receipt of signed Tuition Agreement and payment of invoice a Formal Offer of Place and receipt is sent, the Visa Application can begin.

Getting to Wanganui

1. Wanganui City College receives student itinerary for travel to New Zealand.
2. The student arrives in New Zealand (Usually Auckland).
   Usually the student will travel via Air NZ to Wanganui. Alternatively the Accommodation Co-ordinator may arrange to meet the student up in Auckland.
3. Accommodation Co-ordinator meets student at Wanganui Airport.
4. Student taken to pre-arranged accommodation.
5. The Accommodation Co-ordinator organises arrival at WCC where the student will meet with the Dean Of International Students

On Arrival to Wanganui
Orientation Process

1. Student meets International Dean, Administration Assistant and ESOL teacher.

• Short tour of school.
• Visa verification
• Bank Account organised
• Insurance confirmed
  

2. Informal Placement test administered by ESOL teacher

3. Orientation booklet started.

4. Uniform organised

5. Interview with Dean regarding classes

• Dean makes contact with prospective subject teachers
• Timetable constructed with advice of ESOL teacher.
  

6. Student starts classes in full uniform with complete timetable
